Meet Cynthia Thomas
I am very pleased to introduce you to Cynthia Thomas, who is the Accounting Manager with Set and Service Resources, Inc.
Set and Service Resources, LLC provides staffing services focused on the Retail Service Industry. It offers temporary help and recruiting services to help retailers execute merchandising, new store, remodel and demonstration initiatives.

How did you start your career at Set and Service Resources (SASR) and how long have you worked here?
I started my career with Set and Service Resources in April 2011. I had relocated from New Jersey in November 2008. I had worked a few short term positions, but not ones that were really a good fit. In April 2011 SASR and I found each other though LinkedIn. The job description had a great combination of customer service and accounting. My background was in customer service and accounting in service and software so this combination was just what I looking for and apparently so was SASR.
What are your duties as the SASR Accounting Manager?
As Accounting Manager, I oversee the processing of the Reps timesheets, and submit the payroll for processing. I assist with any issues that the reps may encounter with their payroll. I also manage the daily accounts receivable and payable, and produce all of the billing for our clients, plus any other reporting that management or our clients, or our client service managers may need.
How would you describe your typical day?
Varied, I am never sure in what area I will be concentrating. Some days it could be all payroll related, or accounting, or billing, but, most days it a combination of all. I can start my day planning on accomplishing one thing and end up totally working on another. It all depends on what is needed at that time. I am extremely lucky to be able to bounce from one task to another without losing my place.
What do you enjoy most about your position with SASR?
I enjoy being a member of a great team who really cares and embodies the core values of the company: Service, Integrity Respect and Passion.
What do you do when you're not working at SASR?
I spend time with my husband Bob and our geriatric greyhound Boomer.
What are your interests outside of SASR?
I sing with the North Carolina Master Chorale and our church choir the St. Marks Singers. I garden and enjoy canning the fruits of the garden.
Anything else you would like to add?
Whenever anyone asks if I like my job I say No! I LOVE it.
